Make-Ready started as a small business in a garage – today, it operates the world’s largest screen printing studio, covering an impressive area of 25,000m². With the support of Marabu, Make-Ready has grown into a pioneering force in the art scene, providing artists and museums with exceptional screen prints in large editions. Together with Avant Arte, Make-Ready’s mission is to make art radically more accessible to a new generation of collectors.
"Marabu's colors are now a cornerstone of our high-quality screen printing production. The colors are not only pleasant to use on the press in many ways, but we also know that we have powerful technical support behind us. Marabu will never try to just 'sell' something, but always find the right product for the process."

Screen printing offers possibilities that other printing methods cannot achieve. Layer by layer, this process creates accurate artworks with exceptional color brilliance, impressive surface structures, and unique effects like gloss-matt contrasts or raised textures. This versatility excites both renowned artists and collectors.
Moreover, screen printing is not only valuable in the art world but also plays a significant role in industrial applications. Its high precision, ability for mass production, and exceptional durability make it the preferred choice for industrial clients in fields like packaging design, electronics, and the automotive industry.
Over 100 artists have collaborated with Make-Ready, including renowned names like Ai Weiwei, George Condo, Elizabeth Peyton, and Sir Anish Kapoor. Even artists who were initially sceptical of screen printing are now convinced. A prime example is Anish Kapoor’s Out of the Dark, 2023, a time-limited print created at Make-Ready in 2023.

Marabu provides the high-quality screen printing inks that Make-Ready uses for its unique artworks. The ink series used, Ultra Pack UVC and Ultra Star-M UVSM, are known for their high opacity, impressive color brilliance, and a wide range of applications. By combining these colors, artists can achieve various visual effects – from satin-finished solid colors to highly precise halftone dots.
In addition to the quality of the inks, the close collaboration between Make-Ready and Marabu is a key success factor. Marabu provides:

Ultra-matte and highly versatile for both graphic and industrial screen printing, with excellent adhesion to various plastics. UltraStar-M UVSM is also used in flatbed label printing.
"Since we started working with Marabu, we’ve received technical support that no other supplier in the UK can match. They took the time to understand our processes, and their inks have become a cornerstone of our high-quality screen printing production."
